Carver 900 receiver manual

Les is a good guy. I already ordered the relays. I don't think the relay failures are unique to Carver. I have had them fail on modern equipment too. The MXR had arrived by the time I got home from work. I unpackaged it in private so my girlfriend's eyes would not roll out of their sockets at my unnecessary purchase of another apparent boat anchor last month is was a Sony PS-X The FM radio deserves its reputation too.

With the exception of some dirty switches, they are excellent. Guess there's better, but I'm satisfied. The hottest setup drives a pair of JBL studio monitors, the second best setup drives a pair of Boston tower speakers and the third, a pair of Radio Shack stage speakers. So what. Unless you're going for high end, modern electronics doesn't compare.

Absolutely love this receiver and the amp section. Never had a chance to listen to this prior to buying it as it was an auction on Goodwill. Just went on blind faith and Carver reputation.

Wow, was I surprised. Most of my listening is through CD, streaming and FM radio. The tuner on this unit is like listening to CDs. And my antenna is just a pair of rabbit ears. Don't be put off by the 's look. This receiver is worth owning. Reviewed Aug 25th, by MarkMarantz. Really loved the looks, heft, and quality sound and Carver engineering. I used it primarily to drive a pair of Advent loudspeakers and later Boston A70's. I installed some new speaker protection relays and a new resistor, etc, and the Carver still pumps out an easy watts per channel.

Great, tight bass, low distortion, very quiet. My only problem is the tuner display quit working recently. Hope to figure that out or send it off for a fix. These Carvers are often overlooked but are great amps and receivers. The tuners are fantastic also. Plan on keeping and using this receiver for another 35 years!
