In the Rovers, Jenny Sally Ann Matthews takes pity on Alya, as she is aware of her stepdaughter's manipulative tactics. It's Jenny who reveals to Alya that Daisy plied Ryan with alcohol and tried to seduce him.

Alya is intrigued to know that Ryan didn't cheat on her, but audiences are left wondering whether she will finally confront Daisy.

In an upcoming episode, she takes an interest in Daniel Osbourne Rob Mallard , having decided to flirt with him after finding out that his mum has given him a house. Despite her best efforts to impress Daniel with her fake knowledge of poetry, Daisy will be publicly humiliated by Ryan. Daisy and Daniel bond after she comes clean about pretending to like poetry and confides in him that she's always wanted to be an English teacher. This will prompt an argument between Ryan and Daisy, as he asks her why she had never talked about her ambitions with him.
