Gracie humaita yellow patch

JRal , Jan 27, My school used to be a Gracie Humaita affiliate, and black Gi's were a no no. You had to wear blue or white. ThinkGreen , Jan 27, I just paid 6 month membership to join a Gracie Humaita affiliate and I showed up to my 2nd class there with a black Atama Mundial 9 gi that I just bought about 2 months ago.

I only thought about it afterwards that traditional schools like Gracie Humaita might not accept black Gis. No one said a thing about the color of the Gi, but I dont want to make it ackward for them either and disrespect their traditions. On the other hand, I dont want to stop using my new black Atama Gi that I obviously cant return anymore.

Also, a purple belt was wearing a black top with white pants and someone else did have a silver Gi so I dont know how respected that traditional rule of only Blue and White is even though the gym is truly legit and we do bown down to the picture of grandmaster Helio before and after class.
